Since this is my first tutorial, it might not
be as good, but I'll still try to teach an effect
I came up with. Its pretty easy and uses only
basic tools and filters. This tutorial is written
exclusively for Shadowness.com. By [ FactorX
].

[ first step]

Make a New Image 400x400 pixels. Use black and
white colors. (To reset them press 'D') Now, go
to Filter > Render > Clouds. You should
get something like I did, but if its a bit different
don't worry.
[ second step. ]

Now jump to Filter > Distort > Wave. Use
the settings like I did and make sure to set Type
to Square. If you want something different, change
Max Amplitude.

[ third step ]

You should get something like I did. Now lets
just colorize it a bit. Go Image > Adjust >
Hue/Saturation. Make sure Colorize checkbox is
ON and pick any color you like. Now it looks better,
doesnt it? If you like how it looks and you want
that, then stop, if you want something better,
keep going!
[ fourth step ]

Now, lets turn down the Brightness a little,
go Image > Adjust > Brightness/Contrast.
Set Brightness to -35.
[ third step ]
Now make a New Layer and do Filter > Render
> Clouds on the new layer. Now go to Filter
> Distort > Wave and use setting similar
to mine. This time Type is set to Sine. Click
OK, then set the layer mode to Color Dodge. And
there you have it! For full size click on the
image.

This is the effect we will be trying to achive.
